Description
The project concerns the purchase of 4 ro-ro/ container vessels which are to be constructed at the Daewoo shipyard in South Korea, which will significantly upgrade the promoter’s fleet on the existing Mediterranean – Africa routes.
Objectives
The project vessels will replace older and less efficient ships operating on the promoter’s existing routes. The new ships are expected to be deployed on the routes linking the Mediterranean European ports (Genoa, Naples, Marseille, Barcelona, Castellón) with the Middle East and Africa, contributing to the development of sustainable transport between Europe and third countries.

Environmental aspects
The project is expected to have no significant environmental impact. The Bank's services will verify environmental and safety issues, such as emissions data and compliance with MARPOL standards, during the project's due diligence.

Procurement is expected to be in line with EIB guidelines for private sector projects. The Bank’s services will verify the details during the project’s due diligence.
