Description

The project consists of upgrading and extension of the Air Traffic Control facilities at the Spanish airports.

Objectives

Air traffic control constitutes essential infrastructure for the development of air transport in Spain. In addition, Spanish airspace is essential for intercontinental links between parts of Europe and both Northwest Africa and South America.

Up to EUR 800 million.

Environmental aspects

The project is expected to comply with EU Community policy and legislation in the field of the environment. To be confirmed during appraisal.

Procurement

The Bank requires the promoter to ensure that all relevant contracts for the implementation of the project will be tendered in accordance with the relevant EU procurement legislation. The procurement issues will be examined during appraisal.
