Description
Financing of a facility set up by Banca Intesa targeted at RDI investments undertaken primarily by SMEs. Banca Intesa’s facility (IntesaNova) also involves a consulting, appraisal and auditing service provided by some of Italy’s best known universities: Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, Università degli Studi di Trento, Fondazione Politecnico di Milano.
Objectives
Banca Intesa has put in place RDI-specific facility with the aim of assisting eligible promoters with their RDI investments and support technology transfer. A large part of the financing will be for the benefit of SMEs.

Proposed EIB finance (Approximate amount)
Up to EUR 100 million. EIB finance will cover up to 50% of total project cost for each allocation, with the possibility of increasing to 75% for selected projects

The intermediary will verify that the final beneficiaries comply with national and European Union regulations relating to environmental protection.
Procurement
The intermediary will verify that the final beneficiaries comply with public procurement European Union legislation.
