Description
Global loan (A) for the financing of small and medium sized projects carried out by SMEs, above all small and micro enterprises situated in the poorer regions of southern Germany (e.g. along the border with the Czech Republic) or (B) Private and public investors promoting small and medium sized projects contributing towards environmental protection, rational use of energy and improvements to infrastructure in assisted areas and/or those related to international traffic links as well as of infrastructure related to education, health and housing.
Objectives
The global loan intends to lower the funding cost for SME and public sector projects.

Environmental aspects
Compliance with EU directives and national legislation and guidelines (e.g. on EIA, etc.) is made a condition and to be confirmed by the promoter for each allocation under the Global Loan.
Procurement
All eligible projects will have to respect the rules and conditions on procurement set out in the side-letters provided to this effect, in line with European and national legislation.
