Description

The project consists in the refurbishment, reconstruction and extension of the sewage infrastructure in Munich between 2002 and 2005.

Objectives

The project will contribute substantially to modernise, develop and reinforce the environmental infrastructure of the City of Munich. The City of Munich is engaged to achieve sustainability in the Isar water floods area through best practice policies and infrastructure in waste-water management. The investments aim to realize this goal.

Environmental aspects

It is not expected that the project will have any impact on Nature Conservation and Habitat areas. Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) have been engaged by the promoter as requested by the national environmental legislation.

The promoter follows the German procurement guidelines, which are in line with EU procurement directives.
