This is an allocation under SZCZECIN MUNICIPAL INFRASTRUCTURE VI (2019-0121). The project comprises different sub-components concerning the reconstruction and modernisation of road sections and intersections providing access to the port of Szczecin.
The main objective of the components to be financed under this allocation is to improve road access to the port of Szczecin, which will contribute to better accessibility from and to the hinterland of the port and the new urban regeneration areas. The components are expected to enhance the efficiency of the road network in this area and increase connectivity to the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), leading to increased competitiveness of the port of Szczecin and economic growth.
The components to be financed under this project fall under Annex II of the EIA Directive 2014/52/EU amending Directive 2011/92/EU. Compliance of all project components with EU Directives on the environment, including EIA Directive 2014/52/EU, Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC and Birds Directive 2009/147/EC, will be analysed during appraisal.
The Bank will require the Promoter to ensure that contracts for implementation of the project will be tendered in accordance with the applicable EU procurement legislation, 2014/24/EU as well as Directive 89/665/EEC, as interpreted by the Court of Justice of the EU, with publication of tender notices in the Official Journal of the EU, as and where required.
