Following the resignation of Mr Michael Spindelegger, Mr Hans Jörg Schelling has been appointed Minister of Finance. He also becomes EIB Governor for Austria.
Before his appointment, Mr Schelling worked as an Independent Management Consultant since 1990.
Between 1992 and 2014, he was Managing Director and/or Managing Shareholder of several companies in Austria.
A former member of the Austrian Parliament, Mr Schelling was Vice-President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber since 2004.
Mr Schelling holds both a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Linz University.
