Following recent changes in the Romanian Government, Mr Bogdan Alexandru Drăgoi has been appointed Minister of Public Finance. He has also become EIB Governor for Romania, succeeding Mr Gheorghe Ialomitianu.

Before his appointment in the new Government, Mr Drăgoi served as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Public Finance since January 2009.

From November 2007 to June 2008, he was General Director of the Economic Department at Bucharest City Hall.

From September 2006 to November 2007, he served as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Public Finance.

Mr Drăgoi was also Minister Counsellor at the Ministry of European Integration from April to September 2006.

Between October 2004 and April 2006 he was Vice-President/Shareholder of FocusSat SA Romania and from January 2002 until December 2004 he worked for Inquam Limited UK as Business Analyst and later as Associate.

Mr Drăgoi served as full member of the Board of Directors of the EIB from February 2009 to February 2012.

Born in 1980 in Romania, Mr Drăgoi has studied at Tufts University, Fletcher, Boston, Massachusetts.
