During the TEN-T Days 2016, Vice-President Pim van Ballekom, together with Commissioners Violeta Bulc and Jyrki Katainen, will be participating in a high level political plenary, focusing on stimulating investments in transport in the framework of EFSI.
This session will bring top leaders from the public and private sectors at European and national levels, including the EIB and the European Commission, in order to provide a full overview of the political and financing priorities, achievements and challenges in implementing EFSI in the transport sector.
About TEN-T Days 2016
The TEN-T Days 2016 are being organised this year in Rotterdam by the European Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc, in cooperation with the Dutch Presidency of the European Union. The goal is to bring Ministers, MEPs and key stakeholders to discuss the development of the Trans-European Transport Network.
This year, a dedicated “Investors Conference” is being featured, in which will be discussed ways in which to boost funding and financing in transport infrastructure. The EIB will be interacting with investors, project promoters and Member State representatives on how to successfully use the opportunities offered by the Investment Plan for Europe.
