The seminar, organised by the EIB in conjunction with the Rosselli Foundation to mark EIB President Philippe Maystadt's visit to Italy, will explore a topic of great interest to the Bank: human capital.
The scheduled speakers are:
- Prof. Ramon Marimon, Ex-Secretary of State for Scientific and Technological Policy in Spain and Professor of Economic Theory at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona)
- Adriano De Maio, Rector at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome and Special Commissioner of the National Research Council (CNR).
Since 1997, the EIB has contributed actively to the EU's growth and development policies through its lending in favour of human capital formation, encompassing the health and education sectors. Since 1997, the EIB has advanced individual loans totalling some EUR 10 billion in support of these two sectors.
