The Oesterreichische Nationalbank and the European Investment Bank hosted the webinar ‘Investment for a sustainable recovery in Austria’.
The pandemic has severely impacted investment activity in Austria. Firms have to cope with substantial revenue losses which affected their investment strategies. We discussed with experts and policy makers the challenges ahead, investment needs and priorities with a special focus on digitalization and a green recovery.
After the opening remarks, the results of the EIB Investment survey for Austria were presented, followed by a presentation on the Austrian economy and the challenges of the pandemic by the Austrian Institute of Economic Research.
A high level panel discussion on investment dynamics and investment gaps closed the event.
