The European Investment Bank (EIB) and the National Bank of Romania will host a conference entitled  “Leaders and laggards: the polarisation of Romanian firms” on the 13th of February in Bucharest.

The Governor of the National Bank of Romania, Mugur Isărescu, together with Florin Cîțu, Minister of Public Finance and Andrew McDowell, Vice President of the European Investment Bank, will open the event.

The event is part of a series organised to debate investment and investment finance, especially in intangibles and digitalisation, in different EU Member States.

At the event in Bucharest, the main results of the fourth vintage of the annual EIB Investment Survey (EIBIS) will be presented, which, together with the new edition of the EIB annual investment report "Accelerating Europe's Transformation", shed light on cyclical and structural dynamics behind investment and investment financing in Romania relative to Europe. Special attention will be dedicated to digitalisation, productivity gaps and energy efficiency.

    Participation is by invitation only.
