The world needs to mobilize huge investments to transition to a sustainable, green economy. By allocating savings to investments, the financial sector plays an in important role in the transition. In this context, reporting on ESG factors is becoming increasingly important. The already significant challenges are compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic, which had a negative impact on Danish companies' investments and increased uncertainty about the future.
The European Investment Bank and the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority discussed these challenges, with a particular focus on the green transition and the interaction between non-financial and financial sector.
