The ECOFIN Council composed of EU economy and finance ministers on Tuesday 27th January had its first formal debate on the draft legislation underpinning the Investment Plan for Europe presented by the European Commission. ECOFIN Council members make up the EIB’s board of governors.
President Hoyer provided an overview of the Bank's involvement and answered a number of questions from ministers. The Latvian Presidency announced the issue would be discussed again at the Council's February meeting.
