The principal objective of the Budapest Water Summit is to take stock of the various developments within and outside of the UN system, in preparation for water-related sustainable development goals for the post Rio+20 development agenda.
The event will feature various forums and side events, with summit plenary sessions at the centre.
EIB Vice President for the Environment and Climate Action Jonathan Taylor will speak at the opening ceremony of the plenary in the afternoon of Tuesday 8 October.
The Bank is also represented by Monica Scatasta, Head of the Water and Waste Management Division, who will be moderating a high level panel discussion entitled “Does money matter?” This is taking place on the morning of Friday 11 October.
