Croatia: Zagreb utility to get EIB advice on revamping municipal operations as capital seeks climate neutrality
The European Investment Bank (EIB) will advise Croatian utility Zagrebački holding, which provides the capital Zagreb with services ranging from water and energy supply to building and park maintenance through a host of subsidiaries, on upgrading operations. Under a new advisory agreement, the EIB will work with Zagrebački to consolidate facilities, streamline logistics and optimise equipment, vehicles and land.
Croatia gets €536 million in EIB Group financing in 2025 with focus on small businesses, venture capital and cities
The European Investment Bank (EIB) Group’s new financing in Croatia totalled €536 million last year on the back of support for technological advances by a range of Croation businesses. More than half of the 2025 amount was for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Mid-Caps and public entities to pursue green and digital projects.
Central and Eastern Europe to get hundreds more electric-vehicle charging hubs with €35 million EIB loan to Eleport
Central and Eastern European countries will gain hundreds of new electric-vehicle charging stations as a result of a €35 million loan that network operator Eleport is receiving from the European Investment Bank (EIB). Eleport will use the EIB credit to deploy more than 250 fast-charging hubs at major shopping and commercial centres in Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.
