Luxembourg is a longstanding EIB donor partner. Since 2004, Luxembourg has made contributions to or been a founding member of nine trust funds. Donor support provided by Luxembourg promotes climate action, sustainable development and infrastructure investment in the EU neighbourhood, Ukraine and in developing countries around the world. The projects supported by the trust funds cover areas such as financial inclusion, renewable energy, transport, urban resilience, and inclusive growth.
