The project consists of a programme loan to finance under the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) eligible investments in agriculture and bioeconomy in EU countries.
The programme loan aims to accelerate and further mobilise private sector investments, thus furthering the sustainability of enterprises active in agriculture and bioeconomy.
Each sub-operation under this programme loan will be subject to the same appraisal procedures as any other direct operation. The EIB's services will therefore ensure on a sub-operation basis that investments are implemented in compliance with the EU legislation and standard information will be posted on the EIB website.
The promoters of the projects to be financed under this programme loan will be private companies not operating in the Utilities sector and not having the status of a contracting authority, thus not subject to EU rules on public procurement.
