Description
Objectives

Programme Loan to support the innovation & digitalisation of Spanish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Mid-Caps. Sub-operations will be loans to acceptable financial institutions or any other qualifying counterparts (i.e. SPV for ABS) who will in turn finance innovative SMEs & Mid-Caps, including their digitalization investment expenditures.

The operation is expected to support the financing of mainly SMEs & Mid-Caps, in particular through facilitating the financing of their digitalization and innovation investments.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

The projects to be financed under this programme loan will most likely concern investments expected to be carried out in existing facilities already authorised and would therefore not require an environmental impact assessment (EIA) under Directive 2011/92/EU. However, for each sub-operation the Bank's services will review during the project appraisal whether any of the concerned projects might fall under the EIA Directive, as well as any other environmental details of the project.

Final beneficiaries will be requested to comply with applicable national and EU legislation, as appropriate.
