    Description
    Objectives

The project forms part of a comprehensive 2-year investment programme aiming at energy efficiency enhancements and state-of-the-art energy management in electricity production including renewables and distribution, also including relevant R&D activities.

Investments focus on a more rational use of energy under environmentally sound conditions. This has been in particular triggered by technical progress and strengthened environmental requirements.

    Environmental aspects
    Procurement

The depth of environmental analysis for the various - in general small to medium size scale - schemes will vary depending on their individual technical characteristics Some larger transmission and natural gas fired schemes might require a formal EIA to be carried out.

The energy produced goes mainly to the public network and therefore the relevant EU procurement directives will apply.
