Description
Objectives

The project consists of the design, construction and operation, under a 30-year concession, of a new toll motorway (100 km length) between Marinha Grande and Mira (central Portugal).

By delivering high quality road infrastructures, the project will contribute to reduce the traffic congestion at the local level and to improve the road safety and traffic conditions in the west coast of Portugal.

Compliance with EU environmental directives and national laws shall be ensured.

The project was advertised in the Official Journal of the EU in June 1999, in accordance with Directive 93/37/CEE and the concession was awarded provisionally on 12/03/2003.
