EIB President Werner Hoyer pledges an additional €1 billion of financing to Gavi COVAX AMC to ensure that COVAX is ready to respond to the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding will support the pandemic vaccine pool, improve vaccine supply and delivery logistics and also help acquire doses from local manufacturers, particularly in Africa. Read more.
