
Description
The EIB operates in the African, Caribbean and Pacific countries under the Cotonou Agreements signed in 2000 and revised in 2005 and 2010.
Against this backdrop, Senegal enjoys a special partnership which, since 1966, has resulted in the provision of around EUR 288m in loans to support the country's development. Since 2001, Senegal has received more than EUR 60m of direct financing, including technical assistance subsidies. The main sectors covered so far by the Bank are energy, water and sanitation, industry, transport and the financial sector.
