Description
The facility provides EIB support, through a guarantee mobilised from the European Commission, to selected Financial Intermediaries to facilitate on-lending to eligible investments in the gender and blue economy sectors, undertaken by mostly small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Tanzania.
Objectives
The key objectives of this operation is to enhance access to long-term finance to SMEs, mid-caps and cooperatives active in the gender and blue economy sectors thus closing the funding gap, promoting sustainable economic growth and creating jobs.
