Small and medium scale projects in the fields of energy, environmental protection, infrastructure (including health, education, social housing), development of a knowledge-based economy, industry, services and tourist industry in Bulgaria.
Objectives
The loan targets the financing of SME’s, public sector authorities including municipalities and projects of private and public promoters of any size and ownership in the fields of i2i, energy and environmental protection.

Proposed EIB finance (Approximate amount)
Up to EUR 20 million.
Total cost (Approximate amount)
EIB finances up to 50% of the total project cost.
Environmental aspects
The financial intermediaries will be requested to ensure compliance of the sub-projects with EU Directives, as appropriate.
Procurement
The financial intermediaries will be requested to ensure compliance of the sub-projects with EU Directives, in particular of the award of the public sector contracts, as appropriate.
