Description
The project concerns a part of the reconfiguration of the logistics network of La Poste with the focus on the introduction of modern, automated letter-sorting facilities. This includes the installation of four new centres and the modernisation of the existing centre in Brussels.
Objectives
The Belgian Post is in need of significant capital investments compared with other European operators. An improvement of services is considered indispensable for the organisation to ensure adequate service standards. A significant part of the investment will affect assisted areas and significantly contribute towards a more dynamic and internationally linked communication environment in the surrounding regions, thus supporting the EU cohesion objectives.
