Description
The project includes the final phase of the construction of a motorway between León and Burgos. The EIB has already financed the previous phases of this project.
Objectives
The project will contribute to the regional development of Castilla y León by improving the road link between León and Burgos, accessibility within the areas concerned and also to the road network TEN between South of France and North of Portugal.

Environmental aspects
The promoter is required to respect the norms imposed by the Directive 97/11/EC. An Environmental Impact Assessment has been realised. In accordance with its normal procedure, the Bank will ensure that appropriate measures have been taken as regards environmental protection.

The promoter is required to respect the European Union directives as regards invitations to tender.
