        Description
        Objectives

        The project concerns the construction of a new 14 km tramway line in the greater Barcelona area.

        The project will contribute to improving urban transport in Barcelona by facilitating access to a rapidly growing area of the city and increasing reliability, frequency and comfort of public transport services.

        Procurement

        The promoter is required to respect the regulations imposed by European Union directive. In accordance with its normal procedure, the Bank will ensure that appropriate measures have been taken as regards environmental protection.

        The promoter is required to respect the EU directives as regards invitations to tender.
