The project consists of a Multiple Beneficiary Intermediated Loan - Global Loan to finance schemes providing support to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and midcaps in the EIB Cohesion Priority Region.
The aim is to enhance the economic development of the Land Brandenburg, increase its economic resistance and creation of jobs at SME and midcap level.
The Federal State of Brandenburg shall undertake that its implementing agent will only finance eligible final beneficiaries who fully comply with the EU's EIA Directive and applicable environmental law.
The Federal State of Brandenburg shall undertake that its implementing agent will only deploy EIB financing towards Final Beneficiaries which are private companies not operating in the utilities sector and not having a status of a contracting entity, thus not being subject to EU rules on public procurement

Complaints mechanism
Any complaint regarding alleged maladministration can be lodged via the EIB Complaints Mechanism. The European Ombudsman acts as an independent external accountability mechanism of the EIB.
Zero tolerance against fraud and corruption
The EIB has a zero tolerance policy on fraud or corruption. To report allegations of fraud and corruption relating to EIB-financed projects, please contact the Fraud and Investigation division. All complaints will be treated as strictly confidential and handled in line with the EIB investigation procedures and the Anti-Fraud Policy.
