Objectives

Equity participation in a closed-end private equity fund targeting investments in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) active in Anglophone West Africa: Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone. Synergy Private Equity Fund II is the successor to Synergy Private Equity Fund I, to which the EIB committed USD15 million in 2014.

This operation will improve competitiveness and access to finance at favourable conditions for SMEs in the region.
