    Objectives

    Guarantees for financing small and medium-sized investment promoted by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

    The SME initiative in Bulgaria, a joint initiative of the EIB Group and the European Commission, is expected to make a significant contribution to sustainable growth and employment through the facilitation of credit at attractive terms. It aims to enhance the Bank's support to the economic development of SMEs in Bulgaria. The initiative involves collaboration between the European Commission, the EIB Group and the Bulgarian national authority responsible for the coordination of structural funds.
