Objectives

Private Enterprise Finance Facility II - a line of credit to provide long-term funds in EUR, USD and Ugandan Shillings to selected intermediary banks in Uganda for financing investment projects aimed at developing private enterprises.

Improve access and terms of financing to facilitate private sector investment in projects that stimulate economic growth.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

Intermediaries will ensure that environmental impacts of projects to be financed by PEFF II will be identified and mitigated by the promoters in accordance with international and/or local standards, as applicable.

Intermediaries will ensure goods and works financed will be procured on a competitive basis, taking into account the nature and size of projects concerned.
