Description
Objectives

The Project comprises a number of water and wastewater schemes located in Tulcea County as part of the Sector Operational Programme for Environment under Cohesion Fund 2007-2013. The Project has received Cohesion Funds financing approval from the European Commission.

The Project aims to support cost-effective national compliance with EU legislation in the field of water supply and wastewater collection and treatment as well as consolidate water services.

Procurement

The Promoter complies with the requirements of Directive 97/11/EC as amended and carries out Environmental Impact Assessment procedures where required by the competent authorities and mitigating measures are applied as appropriate.

The Promoter, who will be responsible for procurement, is a publicly owned entity providing a public utility service and is subject to EU public procurement regulations (EU Directive 2004/17/CEE for utilities).
