Widening of the A4 18,5 km highway section between Quarto d'Altino and San Donà di Piave (Veneto) and the 41 km highway section between Palmanova (A23 junction - Friuli Venezia Giulia) to Portogruaro (A28 junction - Veneto)
The expected economic benefits include time savings and vehicle operating cost reductions for road users due to enhanced road capacity. The project offers safety as well as environmental benefits, as congestion will be reduced and standards improved.
Please refer to the Environmental and Social Data Sheet for details. Prior to the disbursement relevant for each section the promoter will provide the Bank with written confirmation from the competent authority that the provisions of the Habitats Directive have been complied with.
The promoter is a majority publicly owned company, subject to the provisions of Directive 2004/18/EC, as transposed into national law. All contracts are being procured accordingly.
