Summary sheet
This project is a proposed loan allocation under the CCCFL and concerns the design, construction and operation of 10 small scale hydro power plants, with a total capacity of 62 MW. The plants are located in the Yichang prefecture (Hubei province).
The project supports EU and Bank policy objectives with regard to combating climate change and promoting renewable energy generation, contributing to environmental sustainability.
If located in the EU, one scheme would fall under the Annex I of the EIA Directive, all other schemes would fall under Annex II. ESIAs have been carried out, including public consultations.
Procurement will be undertaken in accordance with the Bank’s Procurement Guidelines.
