Description
Objectives

The project concerns the 2009-2013 investment programme for the production and distribution facilities of Vitens.

The project aimes at increasing the number of customer connections, compliance with new national legislation in line with the EU Directives and replacement and renewal of obsolete infrastructure.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

The project will generally have positive effects for the environment, health, and security of supply through the sustainable management of environmentally sensitive groundwater abstraction zones and the usage of improved raw water sources. Compliance with the EU and national environmental legislation will be verified during appraisal.

The works will be carried out on the basis of competitive bidding, in line with the company’s bidding procedures incorporating the EU procurement Directives.
