Objectives

European credit line for SMEs for NRW.Bank's promotional programs dedicated to SME financing in line with the Board Decision of 23.09.2008 (CA/419/08).

The proposed operation is dedicated entirely to the financing of SMEs. As such, it will support projects, which although being eligible, cannot be financed by the Bank directly, due to the small investment cost for projects promoted by SMEs,The proposed operation is eligible under Article 267 c) of the EC treaty.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

The intermediary will undertake to ensure that the respective SMEs confirm that all relevant authorisations for construction and operation have been obtained to comply with relevant EU and national laws on environment.

The side letter provided to this effect will ensure that procurement for each financed project will be in compliance with national legislation.
