Objectives

Establishment of photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules manufacturing capacities.

The investments concern manufacturing installations for thin film modules and cristalline PV solar wafers, solar cells and modules. The facilities will have annual capacities of respectively 120 MWp in thin film modules and 450 MWp in cristalline cells. An extension of research facilities is also planned.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

The project concerns the establishment of the production of photovoltaic cells and modules on existing dedicated industry sites. The project promoter is required to respect the requirements of EU Directive 97/11/EC, amending 85/337/EEC.

Promoter’s procurement procedures are expected to be in line with current practice in private industry.
