    Objectives

    The project involves the construction of a 2.75 MW wind farm in the main island of Vanuatu (Efate).

    The project will reduce the quantity of diesel fuel consumed by existing diesel generator units, thereby generating significant cost savings as well as avoiding the emission of CO2 and other polluting gases.

    The overall environmental impact of this project is considered to be acceptable to the Bank.

    The procurement procedures employed by the promoter are considered satisfactory to the Bank.
