Description
Objectives

The project consists of the construction of the new 20.3 km regional road “Vía Ártabra”, with approximately 60% of its length being a 2x2 carriageway, whereas remaining 40% being a 2-lane road. It will complete the ring around the city of A Coruña. This road will also link A-6 motorway (the main road link between Galicia and central-southern Spain) and AP-9 motorway (the main regional north-south road link, connecting also with the Portuguese network). The Vía Ártabra will improve accessibility in the densely populated metropolitan area of A Coruña.

The project aims at expanding capacity, improve traffic safety and reduce congestion on the existing road network and particularly in the metropolitan area of A Coruña and in the accesses to its city centre.
