Refinery & petrochemical company
The project concerns the construction of a new aromatics complex that will include a 400 000 tonnes per year para-xylene (PX) plant, to be located at the promoter’s existing site, integrated with refining operations, and a 600 000 tonnes per year teraphthalic acid plant (PTA) to be located at a chemical site owned by a promoter’s subsidiary.
Improving the margin of the integrated refining operations upstream, while expanding the promoter’s position in petrochemicals.
Full EIAs are being carried out in conformity with the requirements of the EIA directive. (link to NTS (non technical summary) will be added).
Procurement procedures followed and applicability of EU public procurement legislation will be verified during the appraisal.

Complaints mechanism
Any complaint regarding alleged maladministration can be lodged via the EIB Complaints Mechanism. The European Ombudsman acts as an independent external accountability mechanism of the EIB.
