    Objectives

    Technical upgrade and renovation of the Belgian national TV/Radio production and broadcasting infrastructure for the French speaking community in Belgium.

    The project is a core part of RTBF development plan for the next years with focus on rationalisation and modernisation of facilities and digitalisation of production and broadcasting.

    Procurement

    The project includes the refurbishment or construction of audiovisual production studios and upgrades of existing broadcast transmitters, none of which are listed in the EIA Directive 97/11. No significant negative environmental impact is expected but the promoter will have to comply with existing norms and regulations and be subject to licensing procedures.

    The promoter is a public entity to which a specific regulation applies. The promoter applies various procurement procedures according to the regulation and the type and size of the sub-projects. Some of the service or supply contracts have been placed but a significant part will be tendered in the future.
