    Objectives

    A series of investments related to the expansion of the Port’s container handling capacity located at the outer end of the Port, namely on the Maasvlakte. As final completion of the first stage of the project will occupy a surface of 110 ha, have a quay length of some 1.8 km and offer capacity up to 2.8 m TEU, it will be conceived in order to accommodate 12.500 TEU vessels.

    The project aims at contributing to the development of maritime transport links amongst EU member States and between these and third countries and will be an integral part of the existing trans-European port network.
