URBASER, S.A., a private company fully owned by GRUPO DRAGADOS, S.A., was created in 1989 to diversify its activities into the waste management sector.
The project involves a number of investments related to the integrated waste management system in Cantabria.
The project will contribute to the rationalization of waste management in Cantabria, reducing the landfill of waste and increasing the recycling of materials, as well as promoting the rational use of energy.
The project complies with Directive 75/442/EEC ,as amended by 91/156/EEC, by promoting the recycling and processing of waste. It also falls under Annex II of Directive 97/11/EC, and in this particular case the competent authority has required a full environmental impact assessment.
EIB procurement rules will pertain.
