Objectives

An investment programme covering the period 2001-2004 comprising refurbishment and expansion of the electricity distribution and transmission network throughout Cyprus.

To cope with a continuing growth of electricity demand, to improve the quality and security of electricity supply and to reduce system losses, thus reducing electricity costs as well as promoting the rational use of energy.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

Environmental impact studies will be carried out and corrective measures applied as necessary.

International procurement rules will apply.
