Conditional loan from risk capital resources for the refurbishment and expansion of the water and wastewater facilities in Port Antonio, Jamaica.
To help improve access to water, primarily through reduction of water losses, and construct a sewer network and sewerage treatment plant in Port Antonio.
The project is aimed at improving the environment in Port Antonio, which is today mainly un-sewered. The design of the sewerage treatment plant will be subject to a full Environmental Impact Assessment.
The main works' and consultancy contracts will be awarded on the basis of international competition. Contracts targeted for EIB finance will be published in the OJ of the EC.
