    Description
    Objectives

    Investissements de renouvellement et d'extension des plantations SPNP, SBM et PHP, filiales du Groupe de la Compagnie Fruitière, y inclus la modernisation d'équipements (chemin de câble, haubanage aérien, stations d'emballage, alimentation en eau et irrigation).
    Investissements pour la protection de l'environnement et l'amélioration des installations sociales.

    Le projet a pour objet de renforcer la productivité de ces trois unités pour leur permettre d'affronter à partir de 2006 la concurrence des productions d'Amérique latine.

    Procurement

    L'amélioration des opérations d'irrigation devrait permettre de réduire la consommation d'eau, d'énergie et de fongicides. Le réaménagement des entrepôts devrait améliorer les conditions de stockage des engrais et pesticides. Les trois plantations ont obtenu le label ISO 14001 en juillet 2001. Elles sont tenues, à cet égard, de respecter des standards de haute qualité dans leurs opérations, que le projet devrait aider à encore améliorer.

    Les règles de la BEI en matière d'appel à la concurrence s'appliqueront.
