Following recent changes within the Government of Romania, Mr Eugen Orlando Teodorovici was appointed as Minister of Public Finance. He also becomes EIB Governor for Romania, succeeding Mr Darius-Bogdan Vâlcov.

Since December 2012, Mr Teodorovici was serving as Minister of EU Funds and was also a Senator in the Romanian Parliament. Between May and December 2012, he worked as a State Advisor to the Prime Minister.

From June 2009 to May 2012 he was Director of the Audit Authority in the Court of Accounts of Romania.

From November 2007 to January 2009, he was Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economy and Finance. During this period, he also served as full member of the EIB’s Board of Directors.

From 2005 to 2007, he worked as Director General of the Infrastructure Management Authority in the Ministry of Finance. Between 2004 and 2005, he served as Director General of the Managing Authority for Cohesion Fund in the Ministry of Economy and Finance. From 2000 to 2004 he was Director of the Coordination Directorate of ISPA and SAPARD in the Ministry of European Integration. Between 1991 and 1999, he held various positions in the Ministry of Transport.

Mr Teodorovici holds a Master's degree from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies, Department for International Relations and European Integration. He is also a PhD student at the Faculty of International Relations, Academy of Economic Studies.
