Further to recent changes within the Croatian Government, Mr Boris Lalovac was appointed EIB Governor for the Republic of Croatia on 15 May 2014.
Prior to his appointment, Mr Lalovac was Deputy Minister of Finance (2012-2014).
He was Head of Accounting in the Finance and Reporting Sector for Raiffeisen Leasing from 2005 to 2011.
From 2003 to 2004, he was Deputy Head of Controlling for the company Karbon-Nova d.o.o. in Zaprešić. Previously, he worked as Expert Assistant for Finances with the company Auto-Hrvatska d.d. in Zagreb from 2001 to 2003.
Since 2008, Mr Lalovac has also been a lecturer and coordinator at Libertas Business College in Zagreb, as well as at the Business school for finance and law “Effectus” (since 2010).
Born on 16 November 1976 in Split, Mr Lalovac graduated from the Faculty of Tourism and Foreign Trade in Dubrovnik in 2000. He completed a Master of Science at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Zagreb University, in 2006.
