The European Investment Bank (EIB), in cooperation with the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Danish Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs and the Confederation of Danish Industries, organising a Seminar on
Financing Research, Development and Innovation – a Key to the Future
This half-day seminar focuses on key challenges faced by corporates, banks, public agencies and other stakeholders in the financing of Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) and technology transfer projects, with a special focus on Denmark and Skåne.
The opening session featuring major Danish industry players and stakeholders in financing RDI from both the public and private sector is followed by two specialised workshops. One workshop focuses on financing RDI with EU grants under Framework Programme 7 (FP7) and the Risk Sharing Finance Facility (RSFF), an innovative debt based finance instrument set up by the EIB and the European Commission (EC). This workshop provides an overview of the facility, the financial products applied, including the cooperation models with banks for the explicit inclusion of SMEs and Midcap companies as potential beneficiaries. The second workshop running in parallel addresses the financing of technology transfer and venture capital financing.
The EIB is currently organising similar seminars throughout the whole of Europe.
